Tidal Reflections (2023)
Capturing the timeless rhythm of water and light, footage of Zeeland's shoreline is projected onto engraved brass plates, each etched with the intricate patterns of sand ripples, Natural imprints shaped by the tides.
The brass transforms the light into a dynamic, water-like effect, casting shimmering patterns onto the surrounding walls. These rippling reflections mimic the glimmer of sunlight dancing on the surface of the sea, creating an immersive experience that evokes the fluid interplay between nature’s elements.
The piece invites viewers to pause and immerse themselves in the meditative ebb and flow of nature’s rhythms, bringing the serene essence of Zeeland’s coast into the space.
