Transitions
This scenographic installation was created for Draaimolen’s Holy Pink event, part of Pink Monday, a day celebrating free love and inclusiveness.
Central to the piece are three large pieces of fabric, each hand-dyed in a gradient transitioning from pink to white. Behind the central fabric, an LED screen revealed dynamic visuals in collaboration with Jeisson Drenth.
During the day, the half-translucent fabric gently revealed the visuals, softened the sharpness of the LED’s and blending them with the natural movement of the fabric in the wind. As night fell the central fabric descended, fully unveiling the screen and enhancing the energy of the visuals.
The installation reflects the idea of transformation, about the transformative moments that define us. It celebrates the breaking down of societal barriers during Pink Monday, and promotes a sense of unity and inclusivity.
